Olancho Aid Networking

The Catholic organization Olancho Aid needs help bringing fast internet and a stable intranet to 3 remote schools in Juticalpa, Honduras. Olancho Aid will use the internet to serve over 60 special needs children, 200 elementary school students, and 300 high school students. Since the region has inadequate internet infrastructure, 8 remote locations are connected via wireless antennas. Unfortunately because of the lack of funds and technical expertise, the organization shares a 256kbps (1/3 the speed of a typical internet in the US) amongst 75 unmanaged computers nearly rendering the entire network useless. With a fast and steady network, this organization will be able to take advantage of free audio and video chatting and powerful software tools to improve their productivty.
